DIEB/J Real Play: Impact & Flow Workshops™
Turn Friction Into Flow and Build Your Legacy
At Game and Bold, we begin with a simple truth: friction is not the enemy—apathy is. Friction shows people care enough to challenge, question, and push for better. Apathy—the silent community killer—takes root when unspoken tensions remain buried, unheard voices go unacknowledged, and decisions are made without those affected.
Our DIEB/J Real Play: Impact & Flow Workshops™ meet organizations where they are—whether you’re leading with vision, navigating relationships, or focusing on results. Each workshop is an act of advocacy: creating space for the voiceless, surfacing quiet truths, and transforming them into healing, clarity, and unity.
- For the Idealists: These workshops give your values a voice. They turn principles like justice, equity, and inclusion into practices people can actually live out together.
- For the Relationalists: They’re about restoring trust. We bring unspoken tensions and unheard voices into the open—so teams can heal, listen, and rediscover unity through difference.
- For the Pragmatists: They are not abstract dialogue. We create actionable frameworks where conflict becomes energy, decisions get sharper, and diverse voices fuel innovation and outcomes.
Through IM Real Play™, participants don’t just talk about change—they experience it. They practice what it looks like to:
- Bring unheard voices into decision-making
- Transform hidden pain into healing and resilience
- Channel conflict into collaboration and creativity
- Build authentic unity through diversity of worldviews and passions
We co-create advocacy-based workshops that are practical enough to act on. Relational enough to heal divides. And meaningful enough to make a lasting impact. That’s what makes our DIEB/J Real Play (Impact & Flow Workshops™) authentic, immersive, and transformative.
01
Capacity Building
Trust the unseen, act with courage.
Friction Spot: Doubt, hesitation, overthinking.
Flow Shift: Courage, curiosity, trust in possibility.Examples:
- Shadow Prospecting – Teams map the organization’s “shadow” constraints (unspoken rules, hidden gatekeepers). Then each team prototypes one micro-move that turns a shadow into a signal.
- Belief Bridge – Two teams role-play opposite viewpoints on a challenge, then switch sides. The exercise reveals hidden possibilities that build collective belief.
- Leap Mapping – Explore choices behind three “doors” (status quo, safe bet, leap).
- The Kindness Ledger – Each person names a friction they feel. Others “credit” them by writing one overlooked strength they’ve shown in that friction. Builds courage through affirmation.
- The Reset Step – Each participant physically steps out of the circle when someone names an assumption that no longer serves them. They step back in after naming a new choice.
02
Work-Life Impact & Flow
Find your place and create connection across difference.
Friction Spot: Isolation, silos, cultural clash.
Flow Shift: Connection, empathy, shared purpose.
Examples:
The Circle of Firsts – Participants share “the first time I felt like I belonged here.” These are mapped as cultural anchors for the team.
Friction Spotting – Pause conversations to name unspoken friction, mapping where connections can emerge.
The Archetype Walk – Participants walk around embodying archetypes (child, hummingbird, architect, dolphin). They greet others in character and reflect on surprising points of connection.
Story Weaving – Each person contributes a short story thread. The group weaves them together into a single “legend” that reflects shared values.
Invisible Wall Walk – Teams role-play entering a room with invisible barriers (e.g., jargon, silence). Group identifies what walls exist in real culture and designs rituals to lower them.
03
Authority & Leadership
Show up steady, strong, and aligned.
Friction Spot: Stagnation, low energy, leadership hesitation.
Flow Shift: Steadiness, confidence, authority in action.
Examples:
Frequency Leaps – Shift leadership presence through energy levels (fear → courage → joy).
The Higher Ask – Participants reframe a tough challenge by asking progressively “higher” questions (from practical to visionary).
Decision Storm – A leader is peppered with quick-fire dilemmas for 90 seconds. The group observes not the answers, but how grounded the leader remains.
Pressure Line – People line up by how much pressure they feel in their role. They step forward when someone else names a value that helps them stay steady. Creates collective armor.
Momentum Sprint – Teams take a stagnant idea and run a 5-minute sprint to re-energize it with new angles, demonstrating how momentum builds through action.
04
Culture & Community
Contribute freely, grow strengths.
Friction Spot: Scarcity mindset, withholding, guardedness.
Flow Shift: Generosity, trust, culture of giving.
Examples:
The Generosity Draft – Each person is “drafted” by others naming a strength they’d like to learn from them. Creates a visible map of shared abundance.
Cultural Harvest Map – Groups draw the fruits their team currently produces (joy, innovation, accountability). They then choose one to intentionally multiply in the next quarter.
The Generous Judge – Practice interpreting others’ words/actions generously to reveal hidden good intentions.
Kindness Auction – Each person “bids” acts of kindness or support they are willing to give. The highest “auctioned” commitments become team practices.
Abundance Circle – Each person shares one resource (time, skill, connection) they can offer the team. Group reflects on how these offerings build collective capacity.
05
Transformative Innovation
Step into your future self; rise and shine.
Friction Spot: Resistance, fear of change, stuck identity.
Flow Shift: Transformation, innovation, aliveness.
Examples:
Seed Shift Exchange – Participants name one block, exchange it with a partner, and have it instantly reframed into a growth action. Each person practices the shift on the spot and commits to a 48-hour follow-up.
Language Upgrade – Competing teams reframe low-energy language into higher-energy versions to achieve transformation.
Succession Spark – Leaders rotate the “innovation seat” every 3 minutes. Each must let go of their own idea and build on the seed left by the last leader. The original owner watches their idea transform into something bigger than they could have imagined.
Becoming Timeline – Participants map past transformation (innocence → agency → confidence) through a personal friction point. They craft a symbolic artifact of their “next becoming,” place it in a shared future circle, and commit to one honoring action within 3 days.
Future Pulse Challenge – Teams compete to design the most life-giving innovation for their organization — judged by how much it sparks excitement, curiosity, and resilience.
